When Vance approached PB+J Web Design, he was unsure of the solution he required. Along with an update of his existing website, he was looking for a way to provide his course attendees with access to course materials online, but the most important element was for this to be accessible to them through a branded link from their desktop at all times. This represented a unique challenge – one PB+J was delighted to accept!
For 496 Partnership we created what is known as a Progressive Web App. This is linked to the client’s website and provides the user with the option to download an offline version of the site to their device, which the can access at any time, just as you would with a traditional app – just without the hefty development costs and lengthy app store approvals associated with traditional app development!
Within Vance’s Progressive Web App, we built in membership functionality to ensure only course members would be able to access certain content, as well as introducing ecommerce compatibility to allow the sale of his publishing works.
